Being With What Is (2024) took place on Bunurong and Boonwurrung Country as part of Deep See Survey’s opening season of programming.
As part of Being with what is: a live art participatory show by Bri Horne, forty-three humans showed up, rain and shine, and were guided in an experience of being present with what is. Those who participated captured one photograph in a moment of presence using the recycled disposable 35mm camera provided. The participants then stood in presence and truth, and had their portrait captured by artist Bri Horne.
One moon cycle on from the live art participatory show, the Being With What Is Exhibition took place as a physical manifestation of presence, creativity, and being with the unknown.
This project and the Deep See Survey opening season of programming were supported by the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council’s Performing Arts Fund.
